Each game locks at kickoff
You can make or change a pick as often as you want before that game starts. Once kickoff arrives, that matchup locks and the pick cannot be changed.
Your picks stay private
Other players cannot see your selection while that matchup is still open. Picks become visible after the applicable game locks.
Missed picks count as losses
If a game locks before you submit a pick, that game counts as a loss in your record. Submit the full weekly slate to remain eligible for the Weekly Winner.
When the week is close
Monday Night tiebreaker
Each week includes a predicted final score for the designated Monday Night Football game. If players finish with the same weekly Pickoff score, Football Pickoff compares each prediction with the actual final score.
The error is calculated as how far off the away score was + how far off the home score was. The lowest combined difference wins the tiebreaker.

One win.
Incorrect or missed pick
One loss.
NFL game ends tied
If you submitted either team, you receive one tie worth half a win for scoring.
Example: 14-1-114 wins · 1 loss · 1 tie
If no NFL game has tied, Football Pickoff keeps the familiar W-L display, such as 14-2. A missed pick still counts as a loss even if that NFL game later ends in a tie.
Weekly Winner
After every game is final, the eligible player with the best weekly score wins. NFL ties count as half a win. If the leaders are tied, the Monday Night prediction decides it.
Co-winners are possible
If multiple leaders also have the same best Monday Night prediction error, Football Pickoff recognizes them as co-winners rather than inventing another tiebreaker.
Season standings
Your results accumulate throughout the season. Standings track your record, Pick %, weekly wins, and weeks entered. Ties receive half-credit in the standings and Pick %.
